    Dah beberapa hari ini kegiatan tulis menulis tesis lagi buntu..
    Baca sebuah buku tentang petunjuk penulisan akademis, tapi keknya bisa jg diterapin ke penulisan umum spt cerpen/novel.. berikut beberapa kutipannya.. semoga bermanfaat..

    Anybody can write. It's not something that only professors, teachers, and pseudo intellectuals drinking coffee latte in coffee shops can do. Writing is simply a matter of finding out what it is you have to say, organizing your thoughts, and putting the right words together to communicate your ideas.

    1. Anyone can write well.
    U become a better writer by practicing. If U do not write, U will not get better. As long as U keep writing, ur writing will continue to improve no matter what age U are.

    2. Reading improves ur writing.
    It will increase your vocabulary, expand ur knowledge base, and give U a feel for the sound and structure of language. Discipline urself to pick up an expository text and read for ten minutes every day. This will help U become a better writer and improve ur ability to read advanced textbooks. Also, you may learn something along the way.

    3. All writers write poorly on their first drafts.
    Writers need to celebrate slop. Slop is the first step in producing a quality piece of writing. One of the many paradoxes in life is that U can't write well unless U have first written poorly. The first draft may be a mess. But U can revised many times, let friends, colleagues, and editors read it to see how it plays in their heads. U can also read and record it to get a sense of how it flows.

    4. Learning to master writing is important.
    Whether it is right or not, people will make judgments about U based on ur writing. Writing well increases the likelihood that others will attend to ur ideas. If U write poorly, ur ideas become less credible. If U can't communicate ur ideas in concise, logical fashion, they will be forever trapped in ur head. Email, letters, brochures, manuals all rely on written words to transport ur thoughts from point A to point B. Finally, writing helps U organize ur thinking.

    Artikel menarik, setuju banget penulis pasti awalnya nulisnya ngga bagus, kadang lagi pengen nulis tapi orangnya moody-an, udah bagus di satu cerita, eh tiba2 stop dan lanjutin nulis cerita lain dengan genre yang berbeda pula, gue banget, hahaha

Kuwi ben supoyo kowe tambah pinter lan nambah kemampuan moco buku pelajaran. Ugo, kowe bakal tambah ngerti sak seteruse.

    3. Kabeh penulis mulai nulis saka coret-coretan. (neh terjemahan bebas ya.. :lol: :lol: )
    Penulis butuh ngerayakake "slop" (=sing pasti dudu "klompen" artine). "Slop" iku dalan pertama kanggo ngasilke tulisan sing top mar kotop. :lol: :lol: Salah sawijine paradox (dudu panadol) ing urip yoiku kowe ra bakal iso nulis kecuali pertamane hasil ulisanmu elek. Tulisan pertama biasane coret2an gak karuan (podo karo translate jawa iki..). Tapi kowe isa ngrevisi bola-bali, kon moco kancamu, utawa penulis liyane. Kowe ugo isa moco lan ngrekam ben duwe feeling.

    4. Sinau tulisan sing apik iku penting.
    Ga peduli bener apa ora, wong mesti komen soko apa sing mbok tulis. Tulisan sing apik nambah kemungkinan wong isa ngerti apa idemu. Yen tulisanmu ora apik, idemu malah dadi ora cocok. Yen ora isa nyampekake idemu ringkas lan logis, tulisanmu bakalan cuma ono neng awang2. Emel, surat, woro2, kabeh mau dasare soko basa tulisan sing dadi pikiranmu, soko titk A neng titik B. Akhire, nulis mbantu kowe ngerencanakake pikiranmu.

    Paradox: pernyataan berisi dua ide yg berlawanan, yang membuatnya terasa mustahil, meskipun kemungkinannya benar.
